I would’ve stayed forever, but something pulled me away.”It's been a very long time since a prologue has had me debating if I was going to read the rest of a book. If the rest of the book was going to be as sad and heart wrenching, I'm not sure I would have made it. Luckily, I continued and that was the only part that had me almost crying.
Brandon and Aiden have known each other since they were children. Senior year the two boys finally go on their first date only to be the last night Aiden is alive.
For some reason Aiden gets “stuck” in Limbo and gets a job as a reaper. Reapers help others in Limbo figure out what unfinished business they have and helps them get their “door” to move on. After three years in Limbo Aiden sees Brandon and at that point decides he wants to help him get his door.
The story was a little predictable at times. Still I found it to be a very sweet, quick, and enjoyable read. I was happy the ending had a small twist I didn't expect and in the end every character finds what they are looking for.

The book started with a really intense scene. I knew it was taking place in "limbo", but seeing Aiden and Brandon's separation was touching and heartbreaking. Once we got past that, it was interesting seeing Aiden's life in limbo. It was clear he was missing something, but he could never figure out what it was. I loved his reaction to seeing Brandon again. He was immediately enthralled with the person he had fallen for many years back. It was such a delicate balance between wanting to be with Brandon forever and with saying too much, possibly affecting Brandon's chance to move on. I thought this was very clever and well written. I enjoyed the story and characters a lot.
I loved this book! My favorite by Miya Lee so far! Definitely recommend!
The blurb is pretty straightforward so I won't summarize the book content. I'll just say Aiden and Brandon are great characters. As is, Emily, a secondary character, who has a huge presence in the story line. This author is definitely coming into her own. I think her writing is getting better with every book. I stayed engaged in the story and read it in one sitting.
I love these types of stories. I would love to see Miya Lee write something else in the fantasy/paranormal genre.

This was a really interesting and unique story. Aiden is a Reaper in Limbo, and there's a total shout-out to Dead Like Me which made me chuckle. It's subtle enough that it stands out if you've never watched the show, but I can't imagine it wasn't intentional! Haha.
I did enjoy this book and I'm glad that I read it, though I don't know if I'd go out of my way to recommend it. As far as MM Romance in the afterlife, I have read one other story that qualifies as this and it was incredible, so I couldn't help but compare them as I read (even though the storylines are very different).
I enjoyed learning about this world and the characters in it. I did get a bit frustrated with the character's actions... and the end did seem a little rushed, but I still enjoyed it. I would definitely read something else by this author.

Shortly after convincing his best friend to Winter Formal, Aiden found himself in Limbo - the holding cell for life after death. As the author wrote It's the point of time between dying and moving on. No one knows why someone finds themselves in Limbo, but one must find the answer to freedom before moving on.
Three years after, Aiden has not moved on. He is waiting on something, but what? His life in Limbo has been reduced to becoming a reaper, a counselor of sorts, helping others find their "door" to the other side. He has been successful in this, adjusting and finding a sort of satisfaction. That is, until Brandon shows up. Now it's Aiden's job to convince Brandon to move on. But how can he when the feelings are just as strong as when they were alive? How can they, when Brandon insists on remaining his for eternity? "I'd rather spend a lifetime here in Limbo if it means staying here with you."
Having read a few bittersweet romances where death played a major part, this story geared toward a happy ending even in death. I loved the concept of meeting in the afterlife and continuing on a path that death separated.

Yours for Eternity is the first book I’ve read by Miya Lee and I loved it! It’s also the first paranormal story I’ve read that deals with the afterlife.
Aiden and Brandon had only just begun a relationship when Aiden is killed in a traffic accident. A few years later Brandon also dies and is reunited with Aiden. It should all be so simple; they finally get a chance to be with each other forever. Unfortunately, the afterlife has other plans for them.
This book touched me. I wanted Aiden and Brandon to be together but things kept getting in the way of their eternal happiness. Aiden is a kind and compassionate “Reaper” and he is able to help clients that other reapers can’t which keeps him from moving on.
The writing just seems to flow in this story and I didn’t want to put it down. If you like a good M/M story with hot sexy time and a wonderful HEA you should enjoy this book.
